Autoscale is an inbuilt feature of Cloud Services, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, and Websites that enables applications to expand to adapt to changing demand. Scaling out refers to increasing the number of instances in a system. Scaling up in Windows Azure is also possible by using larger role instances rather than additional role instances.
