The architecture of Synapse is composed of nodes. Synapse is built on a distributed computing architecture that distributes the capacity for data processing among several nodes. With a range of 1 to 60 compute nodes, the computational and storage nodes are separate. A unit of computing power is called a Data Warehouse Unit (DWU).
