Instantiating means changing one template test case into multiple test cases based on the test data which is supplied to a template.
Perform the following steps to instantiate TestCases with excel:
- The TestCase to be instantiated must be considered as a template.
- The values which need to be transferred from the template (parameters) must be linked by specified syntax with attributes of the template.
- Choose Create TemplateInstance from the context menu of the TestCase template.
- The Excel file with the corresponding spreadsheet must be specified in the subsequent dialog.
- Confirm your inputs by clicking on the OK button.
- Click on Yes in the subsequent dialog, and the instantiation process will start.
