Deduplication is an efficient way of transmitting and storing data by detecting and eliminating duplicate blocks of data while backups.
Deduplication DataBase (DDB) is protected by DDB Backup Subclient.
When a storage policy is created with deduplication enabled, DDB Backup Subclient is also created automatically under the file system agent on the media client agent where the DDBs are hosted.
