That varies a lot. In the past, as an agile coach, I personally took on teams as a scrum master and then moderated the entire ceremonies myself, such as reviews and retrospectives. But as an agile coach, I also took on the task of coaching the scrum masters and introducing the scrum master to the teams. It highly depends on what level you are currently working on & at what agile maturity the organization is currently on.
