A lot of the web host providers will give you a free domain name if you purchase hosting account from them. On our home page at top 5 hosting if you look in the chart under the domain column you can find the web hosting companies that we recommend and will give you a free domain name. As usual with anything free you should read the fine print. Some of the providers will only keep that free domain for you until you host your website with them. If you decide to change your hosting for some reason, you will still have to pay for it and some companies will even go further and keep the domain.
