The processing technology and extrusion method of aluminum hollow panel and Aluminum Solid Panel are basically the same, the difference lies in the mould used.
For the mould of the aluminum solid panel, the extrusion moulding can be carried out by an extruder only by processing moulding holes on the mould. For aluminum hollow slab, the mould is composed of an upper mould and a lower mould. The lower mould is processed into the shape of aluminum profile, while the upper mould is processed into a hollow core. Then the upper mould core is fixed in the cavity of the lower mould. At the same time, a welding chamber is designed between the upper mould and the lower mould.
The upper mould is also provided with a shunt hole through which aluminum flows to the welding chamber. The aluminum is welded again under high temperature and high pressure to extrude the mould hole to become the aluminum hollow panel we need. Because the mould used for the aluminum hollow slab is composed of two parts, we call the aluminum hollow slab mould a combination mould, and some are called split moulds because the male upper mould has split holes.
